The consultation will take about an hour and involves taking our level test, followed by a discussion about your needs with one of our teachers and with our counsellors.
Level test for adults
Our level test for adults consists of an online written test and a speaking test:
- The online written level test checks your general ability. In the booking confirmation email, you will find a link to the online written test, which consists of 130 questions that gradually increase in difficulty. They are meant to assess your vocabulary and grammar. You need to complete this test in one sitting, taking no longer than 45 minutes. You can stop when the questions become too difficult for you. Please make sure to complete the online written test at least 24 hours before the time scheduled for the speaking test you have booked.
- The spoken part of the test is a conversation with one of our teachers, which takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. This helps the teacher to check your speaking and listening skills, as well as your pronunciation.
- The teacher will compare both parts of the test and then advise you on your overall level of English and the most appropriate course for your needs and level.
- Our customer services staff will give you further course details and class timetables, and answer any questions you may have. If there are spaces, you can register and pay the reservation fee or course fee. If the course is fully booked, your name will be put on a waiting list.

Level test for children and teenagers (6–16 years)
Children and teenagers take a level test that is specially designed for their age. They follow the same procedure as above, however, they take a face-to-face written level test in one of our classrooms (which takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes), followed by the spoken part of the test.
