Register online for your Cambridge exam
How can I register for Cambridge exams?
Follow these three essential steps to book your Cambridge exam and ensure your place in the upcoming session.
Tip: Not sure which qualification is right for you or when to take it? Before you begin, we recommend you choose the Cambridge exam that suits your level, or check our Dates, fees and locations to find the most convenient session in Greece.
Step 1: Complete your exam registration online
The first step is to visit our exam registration platform where you can select your preferred level, city, and Cambridge exam registration date.
- Enter your details: Provide your personal information carefully. Important: Do not use diacritical marks (e.g., ă, â, î, ș, ț), as the system only recognizes standard Latin characters.
- Confirmation: After submitting, you will receive an automatic "Application Summary" email. If you don't receive this email right after registering, please contact us.
- Deadline: If a session is missing from the list, the Cambridge exam registration deadline has passed or the test is already full.
Register for your Cambridge exam now
If you are a school or a preparation centre, you can register your candidates through the online registration service for schools.
In case of any technical difficulties during the online registration, please use the suitable form available at the below and send us an email at customerservices@britishcouncil.gr.
Important – Test Day Photography for C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency
In line with Cambridge English regulations, C1 Advanced and adult C2 Proficiency candidates must have a passport-style photo taken on test day. During online registration, candidates aged 18 or over, or parents/legal guardians, must confirm consent by ticking the Test Day Photography checkbox.
For C2 Proficiency candidates under 18, registration can still be processed if the parent/legal guardian refuses consent, but the photo cannot be added to the candidate’s result at a later date.
For offline registrations, C1 Advanced and adult C2 Proficiency candidates must also complete and sign the Test Day Photography Acknowledgement Form and send it with the application form and payment receipt to customerservices@britishcouncil.gr.
Step 2: Pay for your exam
To finalize your booking, the exam fee must be paid online or via bank transfer within two working days of your online registration. Please note that the British Council in Greece does not accept cash or card payments at our physical offices.
- Online payment: Pay immediately via the registration portal using Visa or Mastercard.
- Bank transfer: Bank transfer option is only available if you or your candidates experience issues with credit card payments or for schools and preparation centres which will pay a bulk payment for multiple candidates exceeding €1.500.
In these cases, the exam fee can be transferred the fee to our Alpha Bank account (IBAN: GR05 0140 1150 1150 0200 2018 908, Account number: 1150 0200 2018 908).
Crucial for individual bank transfers: Ensure the candidate’s name and your registration reference number are included in the transfer details. You will receive a "Summary and Payment" confirmation within two working days of receipt.
Crucial for bank transfers from schools or preparation centres: In cases of direct deposit payments, keep a copy of the “unique reference number” assigned to each candidate or group of candidates, it will be used for the payment identification. Please write only your unique reference number and do not include candidate or school names.
Step 3: Receive your exam confirmation
Once your payment is confirmed, your Cambridge exam registration is complete.
- Confirmation of Entry (CoE): Two weeks before your paper-based exam and one week before your digital exam, you will receive an official email containing your full schedule, venue addresses, and candidate number.
- Young Learners (YLE): Parents will receive a specific email with exam day schedule and regulations approximately one week before the exam.
Assistance: If you haven’t received your CoE seven days before the Speaking window begins, please contact us immediately.
