Celebrating its 22nd year, the Athens Jazz Festival is the city’s most enduring music event and a must-attend for fans of the genre. With 21 concerts on the Technopolis main stage, audiences can look forward to a diverse range of performances by established acts and up-and-coming talent from Greece and beyond. Best of all, entry to the festival is free, ensuring that both locals and visitors to Athens can join in on the festivities.

With its impressive line-up and commitment to showcasing the most innovative and exciting sounds in jazz, the Athens Jazz Festival promises to be one of the most unforgettable music events of the year.

Jackson Mathod

On Sunday 28 May, we are supporting British artist Jackson Mathod – trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist and singer – who will take us on a journey of euphoric jazz fusion that’s guaranteed to uplift your spirits.

Having gained a wealth of experience in different styles as a session musician over the last 15 years, Mathod has a performative ease that embraces blues feeling and swing rhythmic fretting in a way that makes his music addictive – as evidenced by his first album Travels in a Confined Space and the successful singles that followed, finding their way onto the BBC, Worldwide FM and Jazz FM playlists.
