We are delighted to join forces with the Maria Callas Museum for a unique tribute dedicated to one of the most iconic opera singers of all time, Maria Callas.
Internationally renowned and multi-award-winning for his work in opera, television and music documentaries, British film and stage director Tony Palmer will be joining us in Athens on 16 and 17 September 2025 for two presentations and screenings of his emblematic film Callas (1978) – the first documentary released after the great diva’s death and one he began working on while she was still alive.
As part of the tribute, we will be given the rare opportunity to watch the film in the presence of its creator, who will share insights into both the work itself and the art of the music documentary, a genre in which he is considered a true master.
The events will be held as part of the museum’s commemoration of Maria Callas’ passing (16 September).
