Celebrate this year’s European Day of Languages with us at the Children’s Library at the National Garden in Athens

For the 11th consecutive year, the educational and cultural institutions and embassies from twelve member countries of EUNIC Athens, in collaboration with the European Commission, the Foundation for State Scholarships (IKY), Athens Culture Net of the Municipality of Athens and the Network for Children’s Rights invite you to a multilingual celebration which will take you on a journey from one European country to another, exploring the fascinating world of languages and dialects with a programme of events and activities for the whole family.

This year’s celebrations will focus on the theme of ‘Children’s Rights’, highlighting the role of language and culture as a means to cultivate and promote positive attitudes towards co-operation, participation and multicultural appreciation, as well as important factors that can contribute to children’s development and daily life and strengthen communication between countries and peoples. Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in educational workshops for children, interact with the organisers and receive a range of gifts.
