In collaboration with the Centre for Translation Studies (CenTraS) at University College London, we are pleased to host a two-day workshop on 27–28 March 2026 at our premises in Athens, featuring leading experts from CenTraS.

The workshops will be preceded by a keynote lecture at the Athens Conservatoire on Thursday 26 March 2026. Focusing on translation, new technologies and human rights, the lecture will set the scene for the two-day workshop.

The programme is delivered in partnership with the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting at the Ionian University under the auspices of the British Embassy in Athens. Over the following two days, specialists from CenTraS will give presentations and lead hands-on workshops on topics including audiovisual translation, cloud subtitling and revoicing, crisis translation and contemporary translation technologies, all explored through the lens of media accessibility, inclusivity and human rights.

Thursday 26 March 2026 The keynote lecture will take place at the Athens
Conservatoire, followed by drinks and an opportunity for networking.
Friday 27 & Saturday 28 March 2026 A series of workshops and talks will be held at the British Council Athens.
