Road to IELTS online preparation material

Road to IELTS is a powerful tool that you can use as the core material for an IELTS preparation course. It can also be used as a self-access resource by students.

Test takers are more likely to do well if they know what to expect. This is where our Road to IELTS course provides students with a unique advantage. It includes 120 hours of intensive work on Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, helping candidates to develop their skills to the levels necessary to succeed in IELTS. Crucially, the programme simulates IELTS, enabling candidates to view videos of the Speaking test and to practise against the clock.

How does Road to IELTS help me as a teacher?

Institutional licences are available for Road to IELTS. This allows you to give your students access to the material. Road to IELTS includes a functionality that enables you to monitor the progress of your students and develop bespoke study programmes tailored to their individual needs.

Advantages for you as a teacher include:

  • instant feedback on your students' performance and the ability to monitor their personal progress
  • access for your students to hints and tips to help them improve and understand their mistakes
  • material based on real IELTS tasks that will help your students develop confidence.

Sample 10 hours’ free access to Road to IELTS and experience for yourself how the online preparation materials can help your students.

When a candidate registers for IELTS with the British Council, they will get an additional 20 hours’ free access to Road to IELTS.
