In partnership with the British Embassy Athens and the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), we are pleased to announce the fifth year of the short-term scholarship programme, which is co-funded by the State Scholarships Foundation (ΙΚΥ) and the British Embassy Athens.
The programme is aimed at postgraduate and doctoral students enrolled at Greek universities who wish to benefit from a four-week structured learning and research placement at a British higher education institution. The programme is four weeks long and the mobilities must take place by the end of June 2026.
A select group of 24 beneficiaries in total – 18 doctoral and 6 postgraduate candidates – will have the opportunity to build prestigious academic networks, be inspired by new ideas and alternative ways of working, and utilise the excellent resources that world-class British academic institutions have to offer.
The deadline for applications was Friday 5 December 2025 (23.00 Greek time).

Following the completion of the evaluation of the eligibility criteria for the submitted applications, we announce the Temporary List of the Non-eligible Applications.
In case of objections, you are kindly requested to submit them in five (5) working days since this announcement, via email to scholarships@britishcouncil.gr by no later than Friday 2 January 2026.
