Youth Connect - Inclusive Youth Leadership

What would you like to change in your community? And how could you contribute to that change?

The British Council, in partnership with the Hellenic Youth Participation (HYP), invites young people aged 18-35 to take part in Youth Connect - Inclusive Youth Leadership, the British Council’s global programme that supports young people in developing skills, collaborating with others, and taking action on issues that matter to their communities.

The programme is designed for young people who either already have an idea they would like to develop or are looking for a starting point and a team. Through training sessions, online meetings, and mentoring, participants will work together to develop proposals with a positive social impact.

Youth Connect particularly supports young women and young people from marginalised groups and promotes gender equality and inclusion. Through the application form, participants can indicate any accessibility or support needs so that appropriate adjustments can be considered.

What does the programme include?

• Online meetings and mentoring throughout December and January, helping participants develop their ideas through guidance and support.
  
  
• Opportunities to connect with organisations, institutions and experienced professionals who can help participants plan their next steps.
  
  
• Final showcase event of the teams' proposals, taking place during the last week of January 2027.

Applications and Online Info Day

The programme is offered free of charge and includes in-person training, online meetings, and mentoring.

On 19 November 2026, from 18:30 to 20:00 (Greece time), an online Info Day will take place, where participants will learn about the Youth Connect journey, the main programme activities, and the next steps. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their application and join the information session to learn more and have their questions answered.

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee participation, as places are limited and a selection process will follow. Successful applicants will be notified by email after the application deadline.
